What Marche Marie is looking for:

Marché Marie is looking for an energetic, friendly, and reliable Sales Associate to represent our French food brand in-store.

You’ll be the face of the business, engaging customers, driving sales, and creating a warm, welcoming experience.

This role is perfect for you if you love great food and enjoy talking with people. You’ll share the stories and flavours behind our housemade soups, stews, quiches, and French pâtisseries, offer samples when available, and turn curious shoppers into loyal customers. You wont just be selling products, you’ll also share the taste of France.

What you will do at Marche Marie:

  • Greet every customer with a warm, inviting attitude

  • Engage shoppers and start conversations about products

  • Recommend products and upsell when appropriate

  • Assist with display setup and shop clean-up

  • Maintain attractive, well-stocked product displays and keep beautiful product presentation

  • Monitor inventory and communicate low stock

  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and food-safe

  • Represent Marche Marie professionally and enthusiastically

  • Communicate Marché Marie’s mission and sourcing

  • Encourage repeat business and social media/email sign-ups

  • Share customer feedback, trends, and popular products

 

Required Qualifications at Marché Marie:

  • College Diploma or studying toward completion

  • Outgoing, friendly, and confident with customers

  • Strong communication and people skills

  • Passion for food and willingness to learn about French cuisine

  • Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings

  • Available on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)

A plus:

  • Retail, food service, or market sales experience

  • Knowledge of French foods or culinary background
